RESIDENTS in Krishnanagar in the Nadia district of the Indian state of West Bengal saw a woman walking without any clothes on at midnight and called the police. The 25-year-old woman, identified only as Renuga, said a spiritual healer told her to walk naked from the Nagathamman Temple there to the Periya Palayathamman Temple, 5km away. Renuga, from Chevyar village in Tiruvannamalai district, about 300km from Chennai, was said to have gone to her sister's home in Pozhichalur last week.
