its war

Indochine: a people's war Is america and french at cold war? Lately there've been abundance of anti french broadcasts made by the usa belittling the french. "The french didn't build us schools nor hospitals, they only build brothels and clubs, everything we have they razed to the ground." Said the presenter with a distraught tone. The struggle of the vietnamese people against french occupation has been revered by the usa's natgeo as the people's war, reminiscing the french brutality for 55 minutes and the remaining 5 minutes to mention the coming of the American with forgiveness to the American from the vietnamese at the end. It's ironic. At the same time usa intrusion in various Muslims countries are honored, their war machines are applaud as heroes with tv shows such as coming home, battlefield brothers and natgeo heroes series. One of natgeo programs aired an interview with an American war machine who proudly reminisced how he murdered ...

Letter of recognition 1997

Image
It was 1997, CSI was hot on TV (still today?). We're at the pinnacle of our life. One afternoon, we're all bored. So out of nothing, I came out with an idea. Lets make all girls in our class recognize our good-lookingness. My buddy on the left agreed profusely. "So how's we gonna do this?" "We gonna make them sign it," said I with a grin on my face. He grinned with me and pulled out a piece of paper and lay it on the desk. "So here's what we gonna do, we gonna left the upper half blank and ask them to sign on the lower half. After we get everybody. We gonna write this on the blank side. "Hereby we confirm and attest that all boys in 5 AR 1997 are the most handsome men of all time. Yours faithfully," "I like it, I like it a lot," Said my buddy and a few other who started to join the fray. So he took that piece of paper and about to pass it to next girl when he turned and said, "But what if the as...

Just let it go and move on

I begin with a story. A senior monk and a junior monk were traveling together. At one point, they came to a river with a strong current. As the monks were preparing to cross the river, they saw a very young and beautiful woman also attempting to cross. The young woman asked if they could help her. The senior monk carried this woman on his shoulder, forded the river and let her down on the other bank. The junior monk was very upset, but said nothing. They both were walking and senior monk noticed that his junior was suddenly silent and enquired “Is something the matter, you seem very upset?” The junior monk replied, “As monks, we are not permitted a woman, how could you then carry that woman on your shoulders?” The senior monk replied, “I left the woman a long time ago at the bank, however, you seem to be carrying her still.” *** Day before yesterday we had a sporting event. Each of us we given a specific task to smooth things out. Some did well some don't (the t...

Kancil or pig

Image
U see this kancil used to park infront of my house and my neighbor's for a couple of years now. This idiot surprisingly live in house number 2. U see house no 1 is opposite of mine, and there is another house beside his and then there is where this idiot live. Can U see how far this idiot house from ours? It doesn't seem that this idiot has problems with space. He has two cars parked inside, and free space infront of his house. His neighbor on the left have two cars and his neighbor on the right only has one pickup. After a confrontation, this idiot only parked on work days in the morning only however this only took effect for a couple of weeks or so before he revert back to his unethical habit. After talk failed we act. We tried a different approach, at dawn we parked outside on that spot to stop that idiot from parking there, for a week, it took effect for three weeks afterward before that idiot revert back again to his old unethical habit. So what's the problem? Uned...

My Neighbour Totoro

Image
I'm feeling down this month, I've been ripped off for $300 ( burn in hell who ever took it), worst month of the year so far. So I went to a friend house to talk about it (Talking about a problem helps a lot). I've not seen him for a while since he's married a couple of years ago. To my surprise the problem I'm facing is nothing compared to his (see what I mean talk is cure). So I decided to help him with my writing (I knew my skill one day will comes handy). He have a problem with his uncivilized neighbour. I took the liberty to take some proof (it is suggested that you should documented any problem U have so that U have proof in case U need to take the matter to court), these are some pictures showing the problem. Some what two years ago  when the neighbour finished remodelling their house, adding an additional structure to its original frame they left my friend a gift. A pile of rubble was left in the no man's land leaning to his fence whe...

I'M BACK - Quote of the year

Image
Me and some friends were at the movie back in 2010 about to watch the last air bender (regretfully) when I saw the expendables poster.  Don't have the stomach to watch that movie at that time.  Until just now saw a promo on TV, I'M BACK! suddenlly the urge starts kicking in. Best part of the movie :) ,

Tupai Kuat Gajah Duduk Sos Cili Cap Arnab

Image
Strange product names I walked into a convenient store last week to buy a top up card when I noticed a local libido enhancement product (in a form of ma'jun or coffee I'm not sure) called tupai kuat (strong squirrel). Yes I was perplexed as much as you, does this product contains squirrel product or have anything to do with squirrel at all? Based on the picture, appears not, its a herbal product. There are a few strange products name out there beside this one such as sitting elephant's sarung and sos cili cap arnab (rabbit brand ketchup) which of course has nothing to do with rabbit at all, never heard rabbits eat chilies before and nor elephant wear sarung or made of elephant hide, btw I wear this brand. Somewhat 10 years ago when I first heard of sos chili cap arnab I myself want to come up with my own ketchup brand, sos cili cap racun tikus, yeah weird product names attract attention maybe people will buy and love it. I have look up a piece of land (tanah l...

Syura made it to the final

Image
Yes Syura made it to the final. (I'm talking about Masterchef) I was in my secondary school when Syura first appeared together with Nana. That was the era that they nicked named every new comer as Siti's clone. This due to the fact that the mushrooming new comer in the singing industry seems to have voice identical to the newly discovered Siti Nurhaliza. Siti rocketed to fame after winning bintang RTM. Thus those who came after her had to brave the hard way. And there Syura was with Nana singing that out of tune Bakawali. Hijab accentuated her beauty. Back then she doesn't wore one so nobody barely noticed her, sunk between the other Rachel's hairstyle of the 90's. Her character made an impact in my life because that was the last day of my school years, best year of my life. (tears started to well up) All my money will be on her (not literally), hopes  she'll win masterChef 2 tonight. Back to Siti, yes there was many clones of her...

Note 2 charger cable Sucks not

Image
I've been using galaxy note 2 for 7 months now. I bought it from DiGi store together with DiGi broadband, 8 Mpbs for RM88 (with RM2 hidden charge that total to RM90 per month, ah u know this blood sucker). The only drawback that pisses me off until today is the charger capability or the cable. It takes too much times -most of the time- almost a day of charging to fully charged the battery even with power off.. After some twist and turn I found out I need to set the cable into a loop in order to maximize the charging rate, however it doesn't usually took affect, sadly. I love to travel, I travel whenever I have the chance and I used the trusted waze to navigate my way around since I prefered driving my own vehicle. Waze is a reliable navigation application however it needs both the internet and GPS to be turned on in order to work. So U might guessed how much power it ate up per trip, and those who owned note 2 are very much familiar with its internet drains battery...

I choose MAS

Image
I watched the apprentice asia with interest. The apprentice has long been my favourite tv show since I was a student. Back to the episode. Trump would have fired someone or two from both teams because both had lost the task of not making any profit. Among other things. Tony did mentioned ethic is very important in business (after finding out that Alex cheated a customer by claiming he's a  french chef)... that's really reflect airasia as a whole, ETHIC, that was why they'd denied boarding of a mother and her baby after suspecting her baby of chicken pox with confirmation from a girl clad in nurse outfit, hurmmm. I fly twice a year, before this I'd choose airasia any time until I found out MAS is better, way better. Beside the food their hospitality is highly laudable. Back in 2010, we were stranded at KK's airport because of heavy rain, missed our flight to KL and our next flight to Penang (suppose to fly at 6 and fly to Penang at 10). Eventually we m...

Mr. know it all

Image
I found out there are two kinds of people in this world. The know-how and the know-it-all. The know-how is the one who got the required knowledge and the know-it-all is someone who gives the impression of knowing everything yet exactly the opposite. When I was a student I owned a PC, like many other students I used it mostly to play games and watch movies and of course for its secondary usage, to finish my assignments. (back in those days we doesn't have broadband yet, and there're no hot spot in our campus, so we don't surf much because it cost money, we need to go to the cybercafe to surf the internet.) So sometimes I have problem with it. In my early days before I know a thing or two about computering, I sought help from others and this is where I met such a people, mostly the know-it-all kind. The know-how will quickly point out the problem and propose a solution. But the know-it-all, instead of replying the issue being raise they will end up feeding unnec...

The thief fell prey to 'the fence'

Image
I beat the police, I have unravel the mysterious untimely death of the car thief, here's some fact I deduced from my keen observation. Its kinda eerie nowadays but back in those days it is commonplace for such a thing. It is called pagar, literally means fence, technically means erecting fence around something with magic (either white or black), usually valuables. The magic was cast by chanting some spell on the object one wish to leave for a while. Some famous practice involving fencing are fencing one's house, estate, orchard from thievery by burying something in the four corner of the property, fencing self or someone from black magic with some practice or ritual and lastly fencing valuables left behind to attend something. It is well known that fencing in some way fatal, like what had happened, the thief took the money and try to flee alas in a few steps he collapsed and died abruptly. There were other account I have heard somewhere, there was a thief who tried to enter on...

Image
Thief dies after taking car with child inside KUALA LUMPUR: In a freakish turn of events, a thief drove off a car with a seven-year-old boy inside only to die several kilometres away from the crime scene in Setapak here. The boy was safely reunited with his family after passers-by, who noticed him crying alone in the vehicle, contacted his father. It is believed that during the 7am incident, the boy’s mother – a teacher in her 30s – was sending her two younger daughters to a childcare centre in Taman Melati. The mother was accompanying her daughters into the centre when the thief stole the car. “She left the boy in the car with the engine running when the thief got into the vehicle and drove it away,” said City police CID chief Senior Asst Comm Datuk Ku Chin Wah. It is understood that the thief panicked because the boy was crying continuously. He then pulled over and fled on foot with a bag, containing an undisclosed amount of cash belonging to the mother. However, ...

Eating Booger

Image
Gross is not funny. I never missed the Cleveland show because the show is  hilarious. I've been following the show since the day they move out of Quahog back to Virginia. Except tonight. Tonight's episode is about Ralo getting off his habit of eating booger...... and something about Cleveland and coffee. Booger is a piece of dried mucus in our nose. tahi hidung. Half of tonight show portrays Ralo playing with booger or mucus. It start with Ralo picking his nose, acquired a booger, role it up and throw it into his mouth, after sometimes swallowing it, and then another guys doing the same thing, and then he was on his bed about to eat his booger when Junior caught him, and then in the toilet where he stashed his booger under the sink, he was about to retrieve it and put it in his mouth when Juniour stopped him, and then he sing a song while playing with his green mucus and then I turned off the tv cursing. Since when playing with feces is considered funny and how can...

The girl that changed my life

Image
I'm a hermit, an anti social who values my solitary a lot, I don't go out and mix with my neighbors  much. I never smile to anyone unless I was force to, which means smiled upon first. But I did returned the wave and smile if I get caught off guard. Its not that I'm rude It's just that I was born like that. There is one non-Malay family living on my street who has a one and half year old daughter. small, thin, innocent looking, more to her mother and pure at heart-the most distinctive trait of all. Every evening when I got home from work, my routine were to drove passed everybody outside my house (usually kids playing, neighbors taking their evening walk or walking their kids). I have become accustomed to pretend to ignore everybody around me, albeit they're 3, 4 risky processes that requires me to be out in the open before I managed to lock myself safely inside the house. I carefully planed and regularly practices this routine so that I will not get cau...

Affin's ATM Lagging Cost Money to Customer

Image
Salam to all, I visit Affin Bank cash deposit machine every 26th, 25th, 27th, 30th, 31st, 29th or 28th. to pay my car loan. usually I went to withdraw some cash first at BSN, unfortunately on that day, the ATM ran dry. So I thought I would use the meps service at Affin to save up some time, after all meps only charged RM1 per withdrawal. There are two customers at Affin paying at the CDM, as I about to approach the ATM one of the customer greeted me. "Are U a card holder?' "Nope I'm using the meps." "I suggest U better not." "And why shouldn't I?" "This happened to me last month, I try to withdraw some money using AFFIN ATM but the machine severely lagging at a snail with broken leg pace, after I keyed in what was needed to be keyed, the machine seem to be taking more time than a normal ATM machine would, as if U are entering a government website set up by RM2 crony's company, if u know what i'm saying ...

Female doctor is actually a guy By ALLISON LAI newsdesk@thestar.com.my Double identity: Supt Soh showing a photo of the man who posed as a female doctor in Malacca. The victim was also beaten, confined and forced into the flesh trade by the syndicate for almost a week before she escaped last Sunday. The woman's trauma started on April 11 in a shoplot in Kepong when she met up with her friend who she had not seen in years. The friend brought along her boyfriend to the premises. Another man in his 30s, who turned out to be a pimp, appeared later and prevented her from leaving. She was then told that she had been sold by her friend. The winner who hit the jackpot on Saturday, April 13 said that he could easily conjure up lucky numbers. He placed his winning bet during a visit to his parents’ home in Johor. He had been winning moderate sums since early this year and only bet on the jackpot winning numbers twice. Nue à Malacca

‘Mannequin’ turns out to be nude French woman MALACCA: A woman walked in the nude along Jalan Bendahara to the bemusement of those attending a function there. “Initially, I thought it was a mannequin. When we realised ‘it’ was a woman, we just looked away,” said Kampung Chitty Cultural Association chairman K. Nadarajah, slightly red-faced. The woman, believed to be French, in her 30s, definitely disrupted the opening of the Malaysian Associated Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry information centre yesterday morning. Nadarajah said someone ran to the woman and gave her the flag of a political party to cover her body but she declined. “The awkward situation brought the event to a brief halt,” he said. Trader Terrence Teng, 31, said he was stunned to see the woman walking about so calmly. “It was a real shock to see someone in the nude like this in conservative Malacca,” he said. Security guard P. Saravanan, 39, said he reprimanded the wo- man but she was nonchalant about it. “She o...

How to set up a Sharp Aquos with Astro

Image
Am I the only one having difficulties connecting asstro to an LED tv? My 2 years old JVC TV broke down suddenly today, so I bought a new one. I went to giant and had my eyes on a 32" one of the sharp line worth RM8++ , the cheapest one among the branded on display. Unfortunately, it is out of stock, so I went to next best thing, a 32" Aquos from the same line. As we got home, I was very excited and start unwrapping and begun setting it up immediately, and again unfortunately, it won't work with asstro, it doesn't display any pictures except that thousand dots. So I connected it to a plain AV antenna and manage to receive one channel only, TV3. (That is why in rural area asstro is a necessity because normal antenna could only captures weak signal, if we get TV1 that's a blessing because we got two channel to enjoy!). Frustrated I called asstro but unfortunately again to no avail, the nice lady with asstro said they can only do their ...

My barber rides a Honda

Image
I went to my barber last weekend and I noticed that he rides motor cycle now. He used to take the bus to work for all his live. So I asked him why now? He said he couldn't afford the fare anymore and found out that riding is more economical. I found out that's oddly quaint. I always watch max out, a TV series about financial management, in each episode a financial advisor will help a family to repay their debts and eventually avoid bankruptcy. In one episode  the adivisor advises the advisee to get rid of her car and start using the public transport because it is cheaper in cost. got that? While in this country things turn to go the other way round, where people avoid public transport and opt for the more economical motorcycle. The chat ends when my hair is done, and I come to a conclusion on the matter. Some party gone frenzy demanding for cheaper fuel without realizing he only owns a 1990's proton, while Nazri Aziz's son drive a RM500...

Ambank Pasaraya, a series of unfortunate events

Image
I lost my road-tax. Since I took ambank insurance, I returned to ambank for help, at bandar pasaraya around 11.20 on 1st March 2013 to prey for information, talked to one of the staff at the table nearest to the main door and it turn out to be another heart broken trip there. The staff is rude and clueless, she won't even make eye contact not to mention a smile. My first heart broken trip there was last year, asking to change my phone number associated with my credit card, but the staff, at the table next to the atm machines, won't entertain me, "You can do it online ma." Said him, without even looking. It was at ambank sg dua and its benign staff, I got my phone number changed and my insurance renewed. Back to today, so, heart broken I drove to ambank, town, 7.9 km away, and luckily the staff there mend my broken heart. While the public services are urged to emulate the private sector, ambank pasaraya took the other way around, ditching their private s...

Out of oil, out of luck

Image
I went to town yesterday. Traffic was heavy as usual. As the traffic inches up little by little, I thought to myself, with this kinda traffic how can the ineffective opposition would even think to put more cars on the road. Lowering car and fuel prices at the same time are catastrophic. Even now with 300% duty's car and high petrol price there are more cars than motorcycle to be seen on the road everyday. I think, the only car that should be slashed down its price is the hybrid. Hybrid car should be put more on the road due to the fact that it doesn't runs on oil completely and thus oil production is declining rapidly day by day, some predicted that by 2040 we will be out of oil completely! Our society is oil based, We depend on fossil fuels to run our vehicles, power the industry and manufacturing, and provide us with electricity. Once oil been depleted we might revert to the 19th century, riding horses, using wood stove and sailing to cross the continent. ,

Bullied to do extra work -plight of teachers

Monday January 21, 2013 Bullied to do extra work THIS is to highlight the plight of teachers who have to do the tasks of the Head of Department (Ketua Bidang) in schools in Klang. Teachers are struggling but at the same time happy to be involved in the ‘Pentaksiran Berasaskan Sekolah’ programme since it is a good idea to move away from an exam based education. Since the programme is still new, teachers have a lot to learn and lots of paper work that have to be completed and teachers are not complaining as this is part of the teaching and learning process. What teachers can’t stomach is the practice of the Ketua Bidang delegating administrative jobs to teachers as well. What happens is that the principal assigns a certain school programme to the Ketua Bidang who quickly assigns the duty to a teacher who has to prepare the proposal, the working paper, form a small committee and carry out the project. The teacher also has to take photographs, write a report, bind it and give ...

No wife, so man rapes daughter

Monday January 21, 2013 No wife, so man rapes daughter AFTER her mother died when she was 13, Harlina (not her real name) said her father told her he would love and care for her as she looked so much like her mum. And then he started becoming amorous. A few months after his wife's death, he lured her to bed and raped her, Metro Ahad reported in a special feature on young victims sexually assaulted by their own kin. Harlina, now 19, said her mother died after giving birth to her sister, now seven. She decided that enough was enough when her father started to also molest the younger girl. “He had often told me that he did not want any other woman after my mother died. It was like he could not accept she was gone,” said Harlina, who has fled with her younger sister to live with her foster parents. “I have seen him talking to himself, like he was having a conversation with my mother. He may have loved her a lot, but I became his victim.” An aunt, in whom she confided...

Repetition can be counter productive

Image
"Kiniku nikmati kehidupan yang selesa Dibentuk oleh mereka yang penyayang Hari silih ganti kami maju ke hadapan tak kira apa jua halangan" I swear if I heard one more round of this song, I'll not renew the current government contract to govern next GE. I heard this song umpteen times since I turn on the TV today, and I cannot continue to bear this abomination any more. Luckily the rain steps in and save the government of the day. By this you knew i'm on Astro and astro cannot tolerate rain at the same time keep on siphoning our money mostly on rainy season. Back to kiniku nikmati kehidupan yang selesa.. Yes its true repetition is good to familiarize your brand to the people but it can also lead to fatigue, where people become so tired and prone to tune out or actively avoid you. Therefore, use repetition wisely as too much repetition may be counter productive. ,

Supermarkets hike vegetables prices 100%

Image
Recently I bought a bunch of lemon grass, at the cashier I was took aback to find out that the price was doubled to one ninety nine whilst last year was at a humble one ringgit per bunch. I took the liberty to visit a few grocery store around Sandakan and ascertained most of vegetables that was once one ringgit per bunch inches up to 100%, all of them sell at a whooping RM2 per bunch. I was perplexed by this hike since I didn't heard any fuel hike anywhere. Only sugar price hike in 2013 budget. What does sugar got something to do with vegetables? According to the store owner, it was the middleman. They increased the price due to bad weather. We should beware since raw material price increase likely food prices will follow next. I don't know if the KDNK is aware of this hike, if they don't they have to start getting busy poking their nose now before food inflation hit the country and end up like the present Argentina. ,
